From Rejection to Opportunity: How ABACS Helped My Farm Grow

For many smallholder farmers, access to agricultural inputs, practical training, and financial support can make the difference between struggling to survive and building a sustainable business.

Before joining ABACS (Action Bridge Agropreneur Cooperative Society Limited), this farmer faced challenges accessing the support needed to grow the farm. Traditional financing options were difficult to obtain, limiting opportunities to expand production and improve farm operations.

ABACS saw potential where others had turned away. Through access to agricultural inputs and practical training, the farmer gained the resources and knowledge needed to strengthen the farming business, improve productivity, and create new opportunities.

Today, the impact extends beyond the farm. The business now employs three people, providing them with opportunities to earn a living while contributing to agricultural production in the community.

Reflecting on the journey, the beneficiary shared:

“ABACS believed in me when banks did not. They gave me inputs and training. Today I employ 3 people on my farm.”

This story demonstrates how inclusive agricultural support can empower farmers, create employment, and strengthen local livelihoods. Through its commitment to supporting agricultural entrepreneurs, ABACS is helping farmers turn opportunities into productive businesses and build a stronger future for themselves and their communities.
